AmbireThe open source self-custodial wallet, launched a gamified and incentivized campaign that allows early adopters of the beta extension to seamlessly adopt smart accounts and account abstraction.
Ambire Legends is a campaign designed to encourage and educate users about the benefits of smart accounts. By creating an Ambire account and connecting to the Legends dApp, users can select an RPG-style character, starting at level 0. As they participate in chain actions, they earn XP points, advance their character level, and unlock rewards.
While Ambire released Legends publicly, the Ambire extension is still in Closed Beta and Ambire is selectively adding new testers. At some point, users who reach certain levels will start earning $WALLET tokens, with rewards proportional to their wallet balance. A total of 195 million $WALLET tokens have been allocated for onboarding incentives for the Ambire browser extension. The goal is not only to drive migration to smart accounts, but also to educate the community on how account abstraction improves security and usability in everyday transactions.
Ambire’s integration of account abstraction sets it apart from existing browser wallets. This innovation allows the extension to support existing externally owned accounts (EOA) and also unlock derived smart accounts without compromising the security of the EOA model.
