Aptos has integrated Chainlink Data Feeds with the goal of providing real-time, tamper-proof data to network developers.
In a January 9 announcement, the Aptos Foundation said that the integration with Chainlink will allow Aptos developers to leverage off-chain data in real time. This will happen through Chainlink Price Feeds, a critical solution in the decentralized finance ecosystem.
“We are excited that Aptos has adopted the Chainlink standard. Chainlink Data Feeds will greatly improve the reliability of applications built on the network, and we look forward to seeing the innovative ways developers leverage them,” said Thodoris Karakostas, head of blockchain partnerships at Chainlink Labs.
Aptos integrates the Chainlink standard
The integration will reinforce Aptos’ growth as a web3 platform, fostering an environment for greater blockchain innovation. Developers can leverage Chainlink to access the latest oracle tools to build dApp solutions.
“The Chainlink standard allows developers to access high-quality, tamper-proof data, which is vital for building secure applications,” said Bashar Lazaar, head of grants and ecosystem at Aptos Foundation.
Key features for Chainlink Data Feeds that developers and blockchains leverage across the industry include high-quality data, trusted nodes, decentralized infrastructure, and transparent performance.
Earlier this week, Aave announced that its V3 had been deployed to the Aptos testnet. The launch marked the first deployment of a non-Ethereum Aave virtual machine and will be used to measure the overall security, stability and performance of V3 on the Aptos network.
This is in anticipation of a possible mainnet launch, the Aave team said.
