After a recent announcement that implies an association between Soneium and Line to integrate MINI -apps into the Soneium block chain, Soneium issued a clarification that indicates that although there is no formal agreement with the subsidiary line next, there is an active collaboration with Ly Corp. through its Ly HQ in Japan.
Soneium clarifies the “collaboration”
In a X threadSota Watanabe, CEO of the Soneium Startale Group collaborator, reaffirmed that Soneium is collaborating with Ly HQ in Japan to bring four miniplapas in the chain.
However, there is no official “association” between the two entities. Watanabe explained that in Japan, the “association” and “collaboration” have different meanings, with Soneium falling under the latter.
The clarification follows a previous statement by DAPP Portal, an initiative within Ly Group, which said there was no association between Ly and Soneium. The announcement led to a broader discussion that involved the chief editor of Bitpines, Michael Mislos, who said that Soneium’s original statement only mentioned “collaboration” and did not claim a formal association.

On March 28, 2025, Ly Corporation published a statement Addressing the reports that had formed a commercial association with Soneium.
The company clarified that although Soneium announced plans to expand its business using the Line API and mini line applications, a formal commercial association has not been established between the two entities.
Ly Corp. also ordered Soneium’s official blog to obtain more details about his ad.
Kaia PR and line next previous answer
Before these clarifications, Kaia PR was the first to issue an immediate statement that says that Ly Corp., Line Corp. and Line Next have not signed any agreement with Soneium, nor Soneium is affiliated with Sindele the Mini DAPP or DAPP Official Portal of Line.
In response, Line then announced plans to request a correction of Soneium and, together with the Kaia DLT Foundation, issue a public statement that addresses the misrepresentation.
