Keshav is currently a Senior Editor at NewsBTC and has been attached to the website since June 14, 2021.
Keshav has been writing for many years, first as a hobbyist and then as a freelancer. He has experience working in a variety of niches, including fiction at one point, but the cryptocurrency industry has been the one he has been involved with the longest.
As for official educational qualifications, Keshav has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from one of India’s premier institutes, the University of Delhi (DU). He began the degree with the goal of eventually pursuing a career in Physics, but the onset of COVID caused a change of plans. The virus meant that university classes had to be taught online and with that he had free time to explore other passions.
Initially, Keshav was just looking to make some money from beer, but he unexpectedly got clients offering real projects, after which there was no turning back. Writing was something he had always enjoyed and being able to make a living from it was like a dream come true.
Keshav completed his bachelor’s degree in Physics in 2022 and has since focused on his writing career, but that doesn’t mean his passion for Physics has ended. He eventually plans to re-enter college to earn a master’s degree in the same field, but perhaps only to satiate his own interest rather than use it as a means to find employment.
Keshav has found blockchain and its concepts fascinating since he started diving down the rabbit hole in 2020. On-chain analytics in particular has been something he likes to research more, which is why his NewsBTC articles tend to involve him in some way.
Coming from a scientific background, Keshav likes concepts to be clear and consistent, so he usually explains the indicators he talks about in a bit of detail so that readers can perhaps come away having understood and learned something new.
As for hobbies, Keshav loves football, anime, and video games. He likes football not only as a spectator, but also as a player. As for gaming, Keshav generally tends to enjoy single-player adventures, with EA FC (formerly FIFA) being the only online game he actively participates in. Although, perhaps because he is so focused on the game, he is a semi-professional in the game today. EA FC scene, regularly participating in tournaments and sometimes even winning back prize money.
Due to his enthusiasm for anime and gaming, he also taught himself Japanese to consume some of the untranslated gems out there. The skill didn’t just remain a hobby, either, as he put it to productive use during his search for small-time jobs at the start of COVID, doing a couple of Japanese-to-English translation jobs.
Keshav is also big into fitness, and agility and acceleration-related workouts make up a big part of his program due to their relevance to football. On top of that, he also has a more traditional strength-based gym program, which he does to maintain his body’s overall fitness level.
