While attending Mitcoin’s exhibition earlier this month, I was able to sit with Bitcoin Core Antoine Poinsot developer.
Currently in Chaincode Labs, Antoine was previously in Wizardine, a Bitcoin Behind Revault security company, a vault based on previously signed transactions, and Liana, a Bitcoin Bitcoin Basel based on Miniscript. Antoine’s first commitment merged with Bitcoin Core on May 16, 2019.
We discuss the great proposal to clean consensus Antoine is presenting as a soft possible possession of the Bitcoin Modeling protocol in the original verson of Matt Coral proposal of the 2019 proposal.
Bitcoin has suffered numerous errors over the years, with some remarkably severe events such as the 2010 inflation error. There are still some bad mistakes in the protocol, not so bad, but bad.
Antoine talks about these different protocol errors and their proposed solutions to address them. It could be said that some are simply feet guns that are easy to take into account if they know them, but some of them are very serious defects that could present a real risk for the Bitcoin network.
