The $45 billion collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA in 2022 it is adapting to a South Korean independent film titled Crypto man.
According to JoongAng newspaper, Crypto man is tied to the Terraform Labs narrative. The company, founded by Do Kwon, became famous after its tokens collapsed, leaving a trail of bankruptcies and financial losses across the cryptocurrency sector.
Filmmaker Harry Hyun is directing the project. combining elements of black humor with social commentary. Speaking to Korean newspaper JTBC, Hyun shared that the film seeks to depict “the reality of young people who are addicted to stocks during the day and currency speculation at night.”

While details about the plot remain scarce, Hyun hinted that the protagonist made an irreversible and life-changing decision.
The late actor Song Jae-rim takes center stage in Crypto manwhich portrays a self-proclaimed visionary who develops a fictional cryptocurrency called MOMMY.
Tragically, Song Jae-rim, a famous figure in South Korean cinema, passed away in November 2024, months before the film’s planned release.
The film aims to offer a Satirical lens on the excesses and pitfalls of speculative investment. Hyun revealed that careful legal guidance shaped the production due to the ongoing nature of the related criminal proceedings.
Scheduled for release in South Korea on January 15, 2025, Crypto man is distributed by MooAm Productions. However, no information has been provided regarding its availability outside of South Korea.
