Michael Saylor explains why Microsoft should buy Bitcoin

In World 2025 strategy, Michael Saylor He issued a bold message to technological giants such as Microsoft: omits shares of actions and buy bitcoin instead.

“Microsoft is going to make a repurchase,” Saylor said. “Buying Bitcoin would be 10 times better than buying your own shares.” Backed by data, he argued that corporate treasure bonds are leaving massive rise on the table by continuing with inherited capital strategies.

In the last five years, Microsoft Stock has returned an impressive 18% annual. But Bitcoin? I knew 62% per year in that same section. “If the cost of capital is the S&P 500 to 14%, Microsoft has a yield greater than 4%. Bitcoin has a higher performance by 48%,” Saylor emphasized. “Bonds, by the way, have dropped 5%, which depends on 19%.”

According to Saylor, Bitcoin is not just a better performance asset, it is a fundamentally different type of asset. “It’s digital capital,” he said. “Everything digital is better. Digital images are better. Digital relationships, digital messages, digital videos. Don’t believe me? Ask Kodak. Ask Polaroid.”

Bitcoin compared with a digital building, one that is invisible, untouchable and immortal. “Everything you hate of a physical building, which is visible and the mayor can rent it and the weather can hit it, everything you hate about it disappears,” he said. “Instead, the building becomes invisible, indestructible, immortal and teleportable.”

Saylor argued that a company like Microsoft, which built its domain in digital infrastructure, should now be fed by digital capital. “Microsoft should be fed by digital capital,” he said clearly.

He also pointed out Bitcoin’s unique advantage as an unbroken asset. “You’re going to hold something in your balance that is not correlated with everything else,” he said. “You can repurchase shares, dividing your cash flow, or you can adopt the future.”

For Saylor, that future is clear. A company that is in thousands of millions in cash must consider the rise of Bitcoin, a decentralized asset, without borders and censorship resistant with the best performance record of the last decade.

“It must find something that is not exposed to competitors, countries, corporations, creditors, coins or cultures,” he said. “And that is Bitcoin.”
