In the latest development, WazirX CEO Nischal Shetty responded to the DMM Bitcoin hacking incident and noted that the FBI report confirmed that the hacking incident occurred because hackers successfully attacked the wallet provider’s system. external.
Addressing this situation, Nischal indirectly said that WazirX also faced a similar incident, where the unknown hacker attacked the third-party crypto wallet custody service provider, but all the blame was placed on the WazirX exchange.
Despite this information, the CEO of WazirX faced criticism from WazirX customers. Most WazirX clients, who are eagerly waiting for the exchange to release client funds, asked Nischal to distribute the funds as soon as possible. Nischal responded and said it would depend on the “order” of the creditors; If all WazirX creditors (customers) vote in favor of the restructuring plan, then the WazirX team will be able to proceed with the plan.
