Davao LGU trains developers in blockchain

From April 7 to 11, 2025, the local government unit of the city of Davao (LGU) housed ICP Code Camp, an immersive five -day training camp that transforms government developers into Blockchain builders. New Casp Rules Draft

The Filipinas SEC published a revised draft of its rules for crypto-active service providers (CASP), now graduated “SEC guidelines on the operations of crypto-active service providers”, introducing a minimum capital requirement of ₱ 100 million, more strict compliance and operational framework, and a more technical documentation for registration.

In particular, the SEC eliminated several sections of previously broad policies, including explicit rules about advertising, privileged information and Revelations of ICO, in favor of detailed technical rules and risk controls.
