In addition: Sam Altman’s orbs in the United States

GM. If the cryptography market were a shake, it would be a wild mix of profits, regrets and mysterious berries.
🌍 Europe is lagging behind …

🍍 Market taste today
Things look quite good: there are no great price decreases, and the fear and greed index updated the greed today.
That is likely because people are betting Fed could reduce rates before expected (and rates cuts are usually W for cryptography).
Now, nobody expects a lot from the next Fed meeting on Wednesday, but the June 18 meeting? That one could bring some action 😎
So why do the hopes for cutting tariff increase? US macro data. UU. Recent: P1 2025 GDP numbers and the March inflation report PCE.
Let’s start with GDP, which measures the total value of everything a country produces and shows if its economy is growing or reducing.
And, uhh … It doesn’t look great.
The US economy shrunk the last quarter – The first time it happened since the beginning of 2022. GDP decreased by 0.3%, while economists expected an increase of 0.4%.
Why the sudden fall? Imports Tons of them. *Voice of triumph* Yuge amounts. The companies rushed to stock up the goods before Trump’s new tariffs began, which led to a 41% jump in imports.
And since imports tell as negative in GDP mathematics (because that is the money that flows outside of the country), dragged the entire number down.
A reduced economy generally suggests a lower demand, than would push the Fed towards the cut rates or at least keep them stable to give an impulse to growth.
But – And it’s a great but – This fall of GDP seems to be a unique thing. It was not a broad economic weakness, only companies buying panic, so The Fed will probably not scare about that.
|
Now, let’s talk about inflation. Things are complicated.
The Fed Fed Inflation Meter, the Personal Consumer Expenses Price Index (PCE), increased the last quarter to 3.6%. That increases from 2.4% of the previous quarter and well above the 2% objective of the Fed. So inflation is still a problem.
But if you only look at March, PCE inflation increased only 2.3% year after year, below 2.5% in February. That suggests inflation could be cooling month by monthAlthough the quarterly number looks hot.
So, these new data do not facilitate the life of the Fed.
|
Now, when central bankers meet next week, It probably focuses more on inflation than on GDP haccup.
The increase in quarterly inflation will make them cautious with reduction rates too soon. But the slower inflation growth in March could give them some confidence that things are directed in the right direction.
So for now? Wait for the Fed to keep the stable rates while waiting for lighter signs that inflation is really relaxing before considering any cuts.

Europe has many things to be proud:
-
Universal Medical Care;
-
Impressive ancient villages, legendary art and architecture;
-
Pizza (Thx Italy), wine (Thx France);
-
Eurovision (and the atmosphere of pretending to love their neighboring countries when it cannot generally support them).
You know, some fun and fun things continue.
But when it comes to crypto? Oh boy. Europe is so behind.
|
Let’s take a look at the US to compare.
Donald Trump signed an executive order to start building a Bitcoins reserve of the United States.
In addition to that, individual states are running to get involved. For example, the North Carolina representatives only approved a bill allowing the state treasurer to invest public money in approved cryptographic assets. Now he goes to the Senate.
And it’s not just the United States:
-
Dubai has been in Crypto;
-
One of the regions in Bután has added Bitcoin, Ethereumand BNB to your reservations.
In general, countries around the world are making movements to embrace cryptography – and fast.
|
And what is Europe doing lately?
Good… They prohibited privacy coins (such as Monero and ZCASH) and anonymous cryptography accounts from 2027.
😐 It is not exactly an open mind approach.
This is something that the former Binance CZ CEO pointed out at the Token2049 conference in Dubai – The United States is adopting cryptography and also pushes other countries to get involved, but Europe is barely in the conversation.
(Except for Montenegro, which he has been open to cryptography).
But the reality is simple:
The rest of the world is getting going and moving quickly. The longer Europe, the more difficult and more expensive, it will be to catch up.
Now you are aware. But think of your friends, they probably have no idea. I wonder who could fix that … 😃🫵 Run your voice and be the hero that you know you are! |
